Transform Your Marketing
Time and Cost-efficient Website Redesign Services for American Local Businesses
What should business owners know before getting their website revamped?
When it comes to redesigning a website, business owners need to know what the time frame is going to look like, the cost, and what resources are necessary to ensure maximum productivity and minimum downtime.
As a business owner or someone who will manage the website redesign process, you should know the login details to your hosting and domain company/companies. You should have images, and text that you want displayed already prepared in your project folder. This includes graphs, biographies, service summaries, videos and more. For a detailed list please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
How do I know if I need my website to be redesigned?
If your website has not been touched in years, then it’s most likely due for a revamp. This is because design trends move quickly, and in the age of digital marketing, staying ahead of the competition is what will differentiate your local business from the guys across town. To help you determine if now is the right time to hire a website redesign agency to redo your site, ask yourself the following questions:
- Is my copyright year up to date?
- Are customers calling from my website?
- Does my website look good on a mobile device?
- Are there any broken links, images or bugs on my site?
- Do I have the login details to my site?
- Am I being found on Google?
- If I were my customer, would I enjoy being on my own website? Or would I go to the other guys with more content?
- Have I or anybody I work with made any changes to the site design in the last two years?
If you answered no to any of the above, you might want to consider investing in getting your website revamped. Seriously.
Why Do Business Owners Need a Website Revamp After Some Time?
As time passes, business owners should always consider when their website is due for a redesign to keep up with modern SEO and online marketing trends.
Your website is your most important digital marketing asset, and arguably the most important marketing asset you have period. You can either spend money maintaining a website with little to no return from it, or you can have your website ensure a steady flow of customers calling.
Depending on your niche the amount of time that passes before your website layout and design should be revamped can vary from several years to several months. However, a good rule of thumb is that if your website has an out-of-date copyright year, you should at least update some of the content.
What is the Best Way to Approach a Website Redesign Project?
A website redesign project is no simple task, but at JCSURGE we’ve redesigned and revamped dozens of websites over the years and have come up with a system to ensure steady website transitions.
The first thing we do is gather all the necessary information and to ensure that you have ownership of all website logins. This includes domain registrar, hosting, WordPress, etc. If you’re having trouble, please read our article on How to Reclaim Control of Your Domain and Website
Next, we’ll layout a plan for where and how the new site should be hosted. As of 2021, we currently provide clients with a free hosting option for the first year and waive that fee if they are an active client of ours.
The third step is to begin the transfer. We provide support for transferring domains, hosting platforms, and website content. Our website technicians will ensure a smooth transfer of content to your new website platform. We typically suggest WordPress and or SquareSpace. Platforms like Wix, Weebly, and GoDaddy website builder are not recommended for maximum SEO performance.
The last step is to begin redesigning your old site. Based off the images we can find online regarding your business and industry, as well as the general theme of your old site, we’ll provide your website with a fresh look. All our websites come with the latest SEO and web design trends:
- Mobile ready
- Responsive menus
- Smooth and detailed layouts
- Fast load times
- Keyword implementation
- Schema markups
- txt & Sitemap setup
- Google Analytics & Search Console
How Much Does a Website Redesign Cost?
At JCSURGE we provide local business owners with two options: A free website revamp for those who signup with our SEO campaign (at least one month), and or a fixed price website revamp for those who do not want to invest in SEO.
Free website revamps
If your business already has a website and we can gather all the logins necessary upfront, we’ll throw a complimentary website revamp if you signup with our local SEO campaigns. Most of the time those looking to increase their search engine visibility could easily benefit by having a website redesign.
Instead of charging money for a website revamp, and then charging for SEO we combine the two. This is because we can effectively implement our on-page SEO techniques with the new website while its under construction.
It’s also a lot easier for our team to manage complex SEO projects on a website we’ve built, than to navigate an already existing site platform. This allows us to move fast and do this efficiently.
Fixed website revamp costs
The initial consultations are free of charge (up to 2×45 minutes). Feel free to ask any questions or bring up any concerns during this time. Afterwards we’ll prepare a finalized quote for you based on the amount of time and resources needed for the project. Typically website revamps cost between $799-$10,000 depending on the timeline, scale of the project, and other factors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Up to you! What are your goals? Who are we competing against? What is your time frame?
Typically we’ll suggest a budget of $799/mo-$1,200/mo for most local businesses. If you decided to pay several months upfront we’ll throw in a discount starting from 10% off.
Unfortunately there is no “magic formula” to answer this question. Although, there are some factors that will
determine the time it will take to start ranking your law firm. Competition is one of the biggest factors. For example, if you’re in a town or small city of less than 500,000 people and there are only a dozen or so contractors in your area appearing in the organic listing, then chances are you’ll be able to rank much faster than if you’re servicing a large city like New York or Los Angeles. Generally speaking, we’ve seen clients have their business show forward momentum within 30 – 60 days.
